Atlantic High School, Port Orange, Florida
2006-07 record 26-5
Two time district 4A champions and last year’s regional champion
return three starters to a strong lineup featuring seniors: 6'2"
Clifford "CJ" Reed, 5'10" Daren Mathews and 5'7" Rhyan Plummer
and Juniors 5'11" Alim Stewart and 6'7" Larry Wallace. Jimmy
Johnson begins his first year as head coach after his success at
Lake Wales High School.


Brandon High School, Brandon, Florida
2006-07 record 20-6
A strong returning line up featuring Seniors 6'8" Evan Ravenel,
6'0" Blake Allen, 6'0" Tarron Stewart, 6'6" Marcus Morrison and
Junior 6'3" Luis Burgos return to the Great Florida ShootOut.
Ranked second in Hillsborough County in ‘06 with a 20-6 record,
this district 5A team is loaded for an ‘07 run.


Champaign Central, Champaign, Illinois
2006-07 record 24-5
The runner up from the 2006 Great Florida ShootOut returns
hungry to return to Champaign with our banner. A regional
champion last year, this team is ready to compete with Seniors:
Verdell Jones 6'4", Jerry Exum 6'4", Donald Stewart 6'5”, Derrick
Womack 6'3", Lamont Johnson 5'11", Carter Billingsley 6'3", Keith
Biggers 6'6", Chris Lehman 6'5" and Junior Jordan Walker 6'5".


Dr. Phillips High School, Orlando, Florida
2006-07 record 25-7
Class 6A State runner up returns to the Great Florida ShootOut
with four returning seniors led by 6'5" Justin Watkins (final four
all tournament team) and 6'5" Ray Willis. The Panthers are coached
by Anthony Long. Dr. Phillips ended the ‘06 season ranked in the
Maxpreps rankings.


Easton, Pennsylvania
2006-07 record 29-2
A very strong team with a senior line up hungry to return to the
state championship. Last year they lost in the final four to the
state champion. Seniors: DaWayne Brown 5'11”, Joe Herman
6'4", Jarrod Holley 6'0” (Big time Division 1 Football), Andrew
Miller 5'11" and Junior Zach Hankerson 6'3" will be ready to play
the field.

Eau Gallie High School, Melborne, Florida
2006-07 record 16-11
Three division A hopefuls lead the Eau Gallie Commodore's
(division 6A) back to the Great Florida ShootOut. Seniors 6'4"
Steven Coleman and 6'8" Robie Goldsmith and Sophomore 6'4"
Justin Jackson return with the experience of defeating the 2005
state champion and handing Vero Beach their first home loss in
two years.

Harmony High School, Harmony, Florida
2006-07 record 17-11
Three Juniors lead the Harmony Longhorns (Division 4A) to their
first trip to the Great Florida ShootOut. Coached by Kevin Pope
they are lead by 5'11” Gerald Fists-Roberts, 6’4” O'Neal Chambers
and 6'5” John Jordan.

Lake Brantley High School, Orlando, Florida
2006-07 record 24-5
Regional runner up in division 6A, ranked first during the season
and ended the year fifth in the state, this team brings five seniors
to the line up: 6'2" Mitch McGrath, 6'8" Greg Larson, 6'2" Jared
Reiner, 6'5" D. J. Hicks and 6'0" Jeremy Edmonds. This experienced
squad lost to Miami Northwestern by one point in overtime,
ending the season with a 24-5 record.

Orlando Christian Prep, Orlando, Florida
2006-07 record 24-5
2006 second place regional and district 1A champions ranked 6th
in the state are led by Senior 6'0" Carlos Morales and Juniors 6'7"
Keith Clayton (06 Disney Invitational all tournament team) and
5'10" Tyshann Patterson.

Osceola High School, Kissimmee, Florida
2006-07 record 17-9
Coach Larry Brown of Westfield High Texas leads the Kowboys
back to the Great Florida ShootOut. The Kowboys are led by
Senior 5'11" Gerald Thomas and Junior 6'7" Taula Kolomatangi.
This team was Osceola County and OBC champions in ‘06.

P.K. Yonge DRS, Gainesville, Florida
2006-07 record 27-4
State runner up in district 3A and ranked number one in the state
with 114 wins over ranked teams, the Blue Wave returns as the
state runner up in District 3A and ranked number one with 14
wins over ranked teams. This powerhouse returns to the Great
Florida ShootOut with four standouts leading the squad: Seniors
6" Walace Wade and 6'7" John Ellis and Juniors 6'3" Josh Snodgrass
and 6'0" Autis Gibson.

Poinciana High School, Kissimmee, Florida
2006-07 Record 13-12
Our host school returns with two starters to build their program.
Led by Seniors Kemoi Penn 5'8" and Mike Edwards 6'6" and Juniors
Korval McElroy 6'0" and Josh Delgado 5'9", this team will be hungry
to make a great showing. Coach Jay Lunce is a very active member
of the ShootOut committee.

St. Francis, Carolina, Puerto Rico
2006-07 record 37-7
A strong returning line up from the state final four team coached
by Coach of the Year Carlos Calcano. The team returns to the
line up with Seniors Hiram Lopez 6'4", Angel Acevedo 6'5", Jose
Navedo 6'2", and Junior Jeshua Ayala 6'6".

Stone Mountain, Georgia
2006-07 record 26-7
A regional finalist in ‘07 and losing to the state champion at the
buzzer has this strong returning team ready to finish the job.
Ranked #2 in Georgia, they finished the season #5 in the state.
They are led by Seniors Shalamar Tresvant 6'0", Quamel Sutton
6'3", Lavoun Jarrell 6'2", Junior Kinley Branch 6'5" (strong division
1 prospect), and Freshman Shaqui Byrd 5'9".

Tates Creek, Lexington, Kentucky
2006-07 record 27-7.
Ranked as high as #2 in the state and finishing the year at #10,
this team will represent Kentucky basketball well. They are led
by Seniors Michael Sparks 6'4", Michael Spalding 6'0" and Carlos
Parris 6'0". A runner up last year by losing to the state champion
in a tough region, they will be ready to go this year.

Z.B. Vance, Charlotte, North Carolina
2006-07 record 28-4
A state runner up in ‘07, this team is hungry to get back to the
final four. They are led by Senior Anthony McClenny 6'1” (a
Division 1 prospect) and Juniors Jay Jones 6'5” and Montrey Saylles
6'0". Sophmore Deandrae Tillman 6'5" and Freshman Jacoby Davis
5'11" also have strong Division 1 interest.
